Zahlenbericht 2005/2006: PKV submits Geschäftsergebnis

(prcenter.de) Cologne - the Zahlenbericht contains the final Geschäftsergebnis 2005 of the member enterprises of the federation of the private health insurance registered association. For the year 2006 first data are published as well as provided prognoses for the second yearly half. In the following the most important numbers:
Disease full insurance
On 30 June 2006 8.420 million persons had a private disease full insurance, on 31 December 2005 8.373 million persons. The net new acquisition for private disease full insurance suffers further from the extraordinary rise of the liability to insure border to 1 January 2003. In the first half-year 2006 it lay with 46.900 persons more highly than in the first half-year 2005 (39,200 persons).
Private additional insurance
At the end of of 2005 gave it 17.088 millions to auxiliaryinsured persons. In the 1. Half-year 2006 increased the number by 771.200 to 17,86 millions insured persons. In these sums however double countings contained, since also such Versicherte are are specified, the additional insurances with different enterprises, in a group insurance or their private disease full insurance with another enterprise to have locked.
Three kinds of additional insurance are locked usually only by legally insured one: ambulatory tariffs, tariffs for choice achievements in the hospital as well as tooth tariffs. These kinds of tariff are therefore seized by the PKV federation under the term “additional insurances for GKV protection”.
To end of 2005 11.693 million persons had locked at least one tariff as additional insurance for GKV protection. Are from special attractiveness tooth additional insurances, as the existence of 7,794 million persons at the end of shows 2005. Also in the first half-year 2006 an extraordinarily large demand for tooth tariffs prevailed: The net new acquisition was with 943.600 persons, so that on 30 June 2006 8.738 million persons had such an additional insurance.
(To the explanation: If an already auxiliaryinsured locks further tariffs, he is also again counted in these tariffs. For the total position it is not again registered however. For this reason the total net new acquisition is in the 1. Half-year 2006 smaller than the sum of the net new acquisitions in the kinds of additional insurance.) in the ambulatory auxiliary tariffs registered the PKV end of 2005 5.038 of million Versicherte and in the first half-year 2006 an entrance from 217.000 persons to 5,255 of million Versicherte. The smallest entrance and existence had additional insurances for choice achievements in the hospital: From 5,040 millions insured at the end of 2005 rose the existence in the first six months this yearly around 59.000 persons on 5,099 to million Versicherte.
For the first time in the year 2005 the data for additional insurances were seized for GKV protection also separately according to women, men and children. Here it showed up that women of recognizably frequent additional insurances lock. From the 11.693 millions 5.237 million women and 3.957 million men auxiliaryinsured within this range were.
The patient daily allowance, hospital daily allowance and care additional insurance can be for legally as private Versicherte of interest. However can be determined only during the patient daily allowance insurance, how the insured ones distribute themselves on legal and private health insurance. On 31 December 2005 3.237 million persons had locked a patient daily allowance insurance, 1.225 million persons of it were legally insured. Thus the existence reduced altogether by 5.900 persons and/or 0.2 per cent. The existence in the hospital daily allowance insurance decreased/went back around 106.800 persons and/or 1.2 per cent on 8,842 million persons. The care additional insurance registered however one relatively strong entrance of 45.800 persons and/or 5.8 per cent on 832.900 persons.
Contribution revenues
The contribution revenues in the private ill and nursing care insurance rose 2005 around 934,7 millions euro and/or 3.5 per cent to 27,348 billion euro. To the health insurance here 25.480 billion euro was allotted (plus 938,6 millions euro and/or 3.8 per cent). In the nursing care insurance the contribution revenues sank around 3,9 millions euro and/or 0.2 per cent on 1,868 billion euro. A cause for this is the use of means from the resetting for refund of contributions, whereby with many insured lowerings of contributions could be made.
Up to the year end 2006 is on contribution revenues at a value of 28,5 billion euro 26.6 billion euro for the health insurance and 1.9 billion euro for the nursing care insurance - to count.
Insurance benefits
The insurance benefits rose 2005 altogether around 746,8 millions euro and/or 4.5 per cent to 17,300 billion euro: in the health insurance around 725,5 millions euro and/or 4.5 per cent on 16,750 billion euro, in the nursing care insurance around 21,3 millions euro and/or 4.0 per cent on 549,8 millions euro.
Ever amounted to 3.5 per cent (2004 insured the increase of the health insurance achievements: 3.4 per cent). In detail the trend of costs presented itself ever insured 2005 as follows:
