(prcenter.de) SECURVITA protection of the consumers demands more again with “supertechnology”
Hamburg - “to risks and side effects you ask your physician or your Secretary of Research - however both have at present still no notion, which risk wave comes to health insurance company by the invasion of the nano-particles to the consumers”, warns the SECURVITA.
The nano-technology promises a revolution with medicines and food. With millionth millimeter small active substances receives the medicine completely new possibilities: Medicaments can be packed as it were into tiny submarines, which are no more dependent on the bloodstream in the body. The medicines penetrate directly into body cells concerned, approximately in tumor fabrics. New cancer therapies are conceivable. And food receives completely new characteristics with nano-particles.
The industrielle production is already in the starting holes. However in Germany the nano-research received, communicated already 1.3 billion euro at public promotion funds the Ministry of Research on request. But the medical profession and scientists puzzle still about the possible consequences of the new technology.
“The consumer protection is neglected culpably”, criticizes the country wide SECURVITA health insurance company in Hamburg. “We call consumer centers, environmental federations and health insurances to argue with the nano-technology and its consequences intensively. The introduction of a risk technology, to which a size of the market is predicted by 100 billion euro, requires a clear legal framework and an open acceptance and risk debate. There may not be gold fever at expense of the health!”
The revolutionary characteristics of the nano-technology are fascinating, but the effects are still hardly visible. Safe it is only that the nano-particles can unfold their own, explosive dynamics. The tinier the particles, the more actively and more puzzlingly become them. They unfold characteristics, which do not have the materials in the “normal” world. In addition, contain the danger that they can be poisonous for the human organism, still many more agressiver than the particles in the Diesel soot and fine dust.

A set of nano-products is already manufactured, but one lets the consumers grope still in the dark. A duty to warn as with additives, food chemistry or genetic engineering does not give it.
