New Mediation Service Offers Spirited Alternative to Expensive Litigation

(prcenter.de) San Rafael, CA - Mediate for Peace, a new mediation service in Northern California, is taking on the mission of furthering peace in the world, one relationship at a time. Founder Nhien T. Vuong, with a law degree from Stanford Law School, nearly a decade of litigation experience, and 90+ hours of mediation training brings a unique combination of talents and experience to her healing enterprise.
Mediation is the art of facilitating dispute resolution through a dynamic process by which a neutral, third party manages communication and negotiation between parties in conflict. In contrast to litigation, mediation is a collaborative and voluntary process. It keeps decision-making power in the hands of the parties themselves with the caring but objective assistance of a skilled negotiator. Ms. Vuong brings the additional insights and inspiration of a non-denominational spirituality to the mediation process.
Ms. Vuong has a daily meditation and forgiveness practice and is active in her spiritual community, Unity in Marin, where she has led healing services, prayer circles, and meditation groups. Ms. Vuong currently serves as a Trustee and a Prayer Chaplain at Unity in Marin and is also the Spiritual Director for Kaiser Permanente Rehabilitation Center in Vallejo, California, where she conducts a weekly Interfaith Healing Circle for patients, family, and staff.
“To further peace in the world, I believe that one must first cultivate inner peace,” says Ms. Vuong. “This is far from an original thought,” she adds. “Many ancient Eastern religions as well as New Thought churches teach this principle. What I am helping people to do, however, is actually live it—particularly when it feels nearly impossible to do so.”
