1989 erscheint mit "Purpurmond" das erste Album, das zeitgleich auch in englischer Sprache unter dem Titel "Love Is No Science" veröffentlicht wird. Gold gibt es noch vor der ausverkauften "Purpurmond"-Tournee, die im März und April 1990 stattfindet.
1990 startet die Gruppe bereits in die nächste Tournee. Das Live-Doppelalbum "Freiheit Live", das während der "Purpurmond"-Tour aufgenommen wird, erscheint mit Video.
1992 zeichnet die ARD die Münchener Freiheit erneut als "Band des Jahres" aus.
Die LP "Liebe auf den ersten Blick" erscheint. Sie geht wie die gleichnamige Single erneut direkt in die Charts und wird schon drei Monate nach Veröffentlichung mit Gold ausgezeichnet.
1992 präsentiert die Freiheit "Ihre größten Hits", die ebenfalls Gold erreichen.
1994 erscheint das Album "Energie" sowie die Compilation "Schenk mir eine Nacht", die auch einige neue Titel enthält. Sie erreicht die Top-30 in den Charts.
1996 wird das Album "Entführ mich" als zehnte Studioproduktionen veröffentlicht
1997 kommt eine weitere Compilation: "Die definitive Collection", die als Bonus-CD der Erstauflage bisher nicht veröffentlichte Titel enthält. Seit die Erstauflage ausverkauft ist, wird diese CD unter Fans hoch gehandelt.
1998 "Schatten", das elfte Studioalbum der Münchener Freiheit kommt in die Läden.
2000 erscheint das Album "Freiheit, die ich meine". Das Album, dessen 12 neue Titel zusammen mit den neuen Erfolgsproduzenten Kai Matthiesen (u. a. Mr. President) und Peter Ries (u. a. *NSYNC, Eros Ramazotti) aufgenommen wurde, hält sich neun Wochen in den Albumcharts.
2002 kommt das Album "Wachgeküßt" mit der gleichnamigen Cover-Version der irischen Gruppe Westlife als Single auf den Markt. Das Album konnte Platz 75 in den Charts erreichen. Leider musste die dazu geplante Tour aus privaten Gründen verschoben werden.
2003 wird ein langer Wunsch der Münchener Freiheit Wirklichkeit: Das Album "Zeitmaschine" kommt auf den Markt. Alle Hit-Singles erscheinen in einem neuen Gewand. Das Album wurde einschließlich Gesang komplett neu eingespielt.
2004 "Geile Zeit" ist das erste Studioalbum bei Koch Universal. Das Album überzeugt durch musikalische Geschlossenheit und steigt direkt in die Top 100 der Charts ein.
2005 feiert die Freiheit ihr 25-jährigen Bandjubiläum. Zu diesem Anlass erscheint in Kooperation zwischen BMG/Sony und Koch Universal Music das Album "Alle Jahre - alle Hits". Es beinhaltet alle Singles der Band in chronologischer Reihenfolge. Auch dieses Album steigt direkt in die deutschen Album-Charts ein. Zusätzlich erscheint eine gleichnamige Live-DVD.
2006 "XVII", das 17. Studioalbum, wird aufgenommen. Eingängige, neue Songs, geschrieben von fast allen Mitgliedern der Band, geben ein musikalisches Spitzenalbum mit dem es im Frühjahr 2007 auf Tour geht.
2007 "XVII" erscheint im Februar 2007.
